Craftsman Evolv is more like a hit and miss case for table saw owners. I was unfortunate for ending up with a faulty unit, but that shouldn’t be a reason to discourage you from buying this amazing product or mentioning it in this review. Craftsman Evolv 28461 model is all about affordability and getting the basic cutting maneuvers done in a legit manner.
The manufacturers wanted to create a table saw for entry level users who are more into DIY projects as compared to professional contractors. Only buy this model if you have to. My only gripe with the Makita 2705 series is that it comes with a 10 inch blade. This is not a particular setback for general users, but professionals tend to avoid table saws with smaller blade sets. The size restricts them from taking on bigger projects. If you have been an avid Powertoolbuzz follower, you know by now that I have written briefly in a couple of reviews about Bosch and Skil being the same companies under different names.
Well, not exactly the same, but Bosch does own SKIL and that's all there is to it. The two manufacturers release somewhat identical products with the inclusion or exclusion of certain key features. This phenomenon affects pricing – and hence maintains a healthy sense of competition between both companies.
SKIL 3410-02 Portable Table Saw is a marvelous power tool with overall satisfying results. The only apparent flaw with this model is the miter gauge’s dim readings. In a table saw owners’ world, it is all about measurements. Therefore, if the miter gauge is not on point, it affects the end users’ work output.

You can tweak a few settings to get by with good results, but I wouldn’t recommend taking a SKIL 3410-02 table saw out on a professional jobsite. Heck, if you are a contractor, you cannot risk an entire woodworking project’s integrity because of the miter gauge.

Carbide is a tough material and offers a wide range of usefulness over stainless steel counterparts. However, if the blade tips are bent, or there is evidence of physical deformity, carbide parts need to be properly repaired by an expert.
